Hi there, I would love to post a photo of one of my chooks, Runter.  Unfortunately I cannot as she was killed yesterday (Tuesday 2/2/21) when an unknown animal (we think a dog) enter our property and mauled the chook to death.  This is the third time in 18 months that dogs have attacked our free range chooks.  Both police and council state that it's not really their problem as no person was hurt.

So - can I plead with all dog owners, keep your animals securely in your yards. Do not walk them off the leash up our street, and please, do not come out with the tired defense that "our Fido would never do that".  On two occasions I have seen a pack of 2 Fido's in action. Dogs will chase, it's in their nature. It's their owners job to make sure the opportunity does not occur. Thank you.
