girtje Posted by girtje in Lost and found in Jindabyne on Sun May 8, 2022 3:59pm

On the 15th of April I was riding the Thredbo river MTB trail out of Jindabyne. I had a fall and lost a black purse that contained the following:

GoPro charging cable and battery

3 small SD cards

Charging cables for Petzl headlight

Petzl headlight

Adaptor for Iphone

Iphone ear buds

Water bottle and cage

Gas canister

As I had a few tumbles, I have no idea where on the trail it could be but it was on the first technical section fro Jindabyne to the Ski Chute.

If found please contact me and I will get int touch.

I flew the drone off from Hyams beach, due to the drone being close to the no fly geo-zone of the naval base, it caused the drone to do it's own thing and I lost control and didn't see where it landed, possibly in the water about 2 kms off the middle of the beach.

A Lucas family - 0 replies

Alan1959 Posted by Alan1959 in Find friends in Manly on Fri Nov 12, 2021 11:09pm

Back to Christmas in 1956 as a serving sailor in the Royal navy whilst operating at Christmas island my ship, H.M.S. Narvik visited Sydney for three weeks over the Christmas period. When there a Mrs Lucas and family invited two sailors from the ship to spend  the holiday period with them, and I was fortunate to be one of them. Mrs Lucas had two daughters whose names I cannot remember now, and a son named David. It was a memorable time for me as a young 16 year old spending my 1st Christmas away from home, the family made me feel like I was at home and were all extremely welcoming and caring and it was a great experience.

I am aware that this took place a long time ago, and I can give very little more information than I have already, so this is a long shot, is there anyone out there that knew this family or the event? Do you know the family? Are you a member of this family? If so I would be delighted to hear from you.

  Thank you.  Alan Bean.

Hi I am related to Thomas Henry Akers (Acres) whom was born 1797 at Mulgrave, mother Lucy Day. She died at Collector 1852.

I am directly related to Akers of Campletown, there is much written about them having a farm there, Cowpasture area. Of them I have information.

However I would like to know about the Akers (Acres) of Mulgrave, where was the farm, still exist?  Any life then.

Any information welcome.
