Kerrie82 Posted by Kerrie82 in Ancestry and family history in Nymagee on Wed Mar 13, 2024 4:52pm

Good afternoon,

My sister and I have volunteered to research people who are burined in Manly (Sydney) Cemetery and write bios on them for the Northern Beaches council.  There are over 9,000 people buried in this cemetery and we are only up to the Bs.

At the moment I am researching Sarah Ann Baker nee Roberts/Rada.

She was born in England arrived in Victoria c1855 she married 1870 to John Rada who died 1891. She married 1892 to George Henry Baker

in Nymagee.  Her parent were Georges Roberts and Susan nee Cooper who I believe are buried in the Nymagee cemtery.

Sarah Ann died in Manly 17 Jun 1931 and is buried in Manly Cemetery.  She out lived both husbands and there were no children to either marriage.

If anyone could supply any details on Sarah Ann or her family aI would be very gratful.

Cheers

Kerrie

Hoffy21 Posted by Hoffy21 in Lost and found in Floreat on Fri Feb 16, 2024 1:30pm

I had my birth certificate and baptismal papers in a plastic folder along with other papers and I inadvertently put them on the roof of ny car and then forgot to put them in my car when driving off from the Woolworths undercover carpark when turning left - I managed to retrieve the other papers later still in its plastic folder however the envelope with my birth certificate was not there / just hoping somebody may have come across them.
